Is this for you?

  • You are launching in Egypt, the Gulf or the wider Arab world and need Arabic and English together.

  • Your English product has an Arabic version that looks broken: icons on the wrong side, jumbled punctuation, numbers in the wrong place.

  • You are an agency building for a client in the region and need a developer who reads the copy and sees the problems.

If your site is Arabic only and has no logic behind it, a simpler tool may do. I'm useful when the app has accounts, forms, data and two languages.

What you get

  • A real right-to-left layout

I build with logical spacing and alignment so the page mirrors correctly, then check each screen in Arabic as a person reads it, not only by flipping a setting.

  • Mixed text that holds together

Arabic sentences with English brand names, numbers, links and email addresses are where bidirectional text goes wrong. I test those cases by hand.

  • Forms and data that fit Arabic

Names, phone numbers, dates, numerals and validation messages written and checked for an Arabic reader.

  • Bilingual structure

One content structure, a clear URL per language and the correct language tags, so both versions can be found by search engines.

  • A native reader on your team

Arabic is my first language. I catch the copy that reads like a machine translation.

What the first two weeks look like

  1. Week 1

    Audit or plan

An audit of your current screens in Arabic, or a plan for a new product's two languages. You get a list of issues and decisions.

  2. Week 2

    Shared pieces, side by side

The shared layout pieces fixed or built, such as the header, forms, buttons and navigation, with Arabic and English running side by side on a preview link.

Relevant experience

From 2022 to 2024 I built Stake's marketing emails in Arabic and English. Email apps are strict about right-to-left text: several ignored CSS direction, so direction and alignment had to sit on every table and cell, and two-column layouts had to be reordered for Arabic, not just flipped.

I have also built multi-language products since 2022: the interface of a German e-learning app translated into German, dealer landing pages for German and Swiss markets, and the LEICHT site in several languages on a headless CMS. Arabic is my first language, and I build the logic behind the layout too.

How we work and what it costs

An audit of your Arabic screens or a scoped build is a fixed price. Ongoing work is monthly.

Write below what you are building and which languages and regions it serves.

Questions people ask

Is RTL just a CSS direction switch?

No. Setting the direction flips the text flow, but spacing, icons, animations, mixed Arabic and English text, numbers and form fields all need decisions of their own. Mistakes in Arabic RTL web apps lists the ones I see most.

Do you translate the content?

Arabic is my first language and I can review and correct Arabic copy inside the product. For long marketing text or legal copy I recommend a professional translator or copywriter, and I build the structure so their work drops straight in.

Can one app serve both Arabic and English?

Yes. A language switch, a separate URL per language and the right direction for each is the usual setup. It also helps search engines show the right page to the right reader.

Which Arabic do you write in?

Arabic is my first language. For interface text I use clear Modern Standard Arabic unless you want a regional tone. If your audience is in the Gulf or the Levant, we check wording with a reader from there.
